In one second, it can all change.

This is a very graphic video of Jim Grandick tearing his biceps on his last deadlift attempt of 788 at the last WPO contest. Injuries suck and often happen when you are at your strongest. That you are only as strong as your weakest link is vividly illustrated.

Oh man you can actually see it go. Made me sick from my stomach to my knees.

But it illustrates the point you are trying to make very well.

Shore up the weaknesses.

I am trying to do just that, although I confess I kneed more self-knowledge.

1 right ankle stability and felxibility
2 ring finger on right hand prone to injury involving grip
3 right wrist fexibility

very small and petty list, but I don't want it to grow larger.

royce,that is one point; shore up your weaknesses. But the other point is that at any second, one thing can change your life forever.Jim will recover from that injury but his arm will never be the same, and neither will his lifting.
people take their health and non injuries for granted; don't, that can change in an instant.
