The Human Weapon Series.

This week the guys are in Israel doing Krav Maga. My nephew , who is in the IDF, is going through this training now. I know Takei studies it as well; it looks really interesting and the ultimate in functional self defense for truly dangerous situations.

The United States law enforcements and military implement it as well.
Kind of like a fight where you are not situated to draw your fire arm out from holster.

The Hungary branch of Krav Maga instructors are RKCs as well.

They go to some cool places. I liked the Greece episode best so far.

Too bad I can't stand the "big" host of that show. "If this were on the street, I would have slammed him unconscious," or something like that. Yea, bud. If this were on the street, the other guy would not be subject to the rules either. Maybe you'd have your nuts turned to paste, your face turned inside-out, or an eye removed. What a douche.

Sorry, Krav Maga seems like a very good style for effective defense. I'll try to catch that episode if I think I can stomach "Mr. Badass" one more time.

actually I don't like either of them very much or the format of the show but they go to some very cool places and always end up with some real deal people.

Did you catch the Eskrima episode? I could have sword the camera passed right by Dan Inosanto with no acknowledgement whatsoever.

Yes, I've caught half the episodes. Seem well intentioned but dumbed down like the rest of TV.
Still did love the Okinawan karate episode.

So far the Krav Maga, I thought, was the best. Next will be Muay Thai!

Hi Rif,

I look forward to seeing it if they get round to screening it here. I was at a seminar with Mark Davies of Tactical Edge yesterday that was hosted by Marcus Houston of Krav Maga Edinburgh. Serious no nonsense stuff, brutally prctical. I am training a couple of Krav guys at the moment and the benefits are obvious.
